Campus outdoor areas lacked reliable wireless coverage, limiting productivity for outdoor workspaces and causing connectivity dead zones in parking lots. Traditional copper cabling couldn't support required bandwidth over long distances.
Constraints
- Keep disruption low for users and client operations.
- Make the solution repeatable enough to document, hand off, and support later.
- Balance speed, reliability, and clean implementation.
What I Did
Executed comprehensive fiber optic infrastructure project running and professionally splicing single-mode fiber to extend network. Performed precision fiber splicing with fusion techniques, installed weatherproof enclosures, and configured outdoor-rated wireless access points with proper grounding and surge protection.
Result
Enabled reliable high-speed wireless throughout extended campus areas with professional fiber optic installation meeting enterprise standards.
What I Learned
