Problem

Physical security gaps with no surveillance coverage of critical areas. Security cameras needed to be isolated from primary network to prevent unauthorized access and potential network breaches.

Constraints

  • Keep disruption low for users and client operations.
  • Make the solution repeatable enough to document, hand off, and support later.
  • Preserve secure access and segmentation while improving usability.

What I Did

Deployed comprehensive IP camera surveillance system with VLAN isolation. Designed network architecture segregating camera traffic on dedicated VLAN, configured switches with VLAN tagging and access control policies, and implemented NVR infrastructure with redundant storage.
